David K. White, PhD

David K. White, PhD, has over 40 years of executive leadership experience in healthcare services, primarily in the behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment industry. His distinguished career includes the development of industry leading national and international multi-site, multi-state, and multi-province treatment facilities, both inpatient and outpatient, and in the areas of specialty psychiatric services for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. He helped pioneer contracted management services for partners with less behavioral and chemical dependency expertise including acute care hospitals, state and federal agencies, and prisons. His expertise also extends to residential treatment, long term care, intensive outpatient services, and physical rehabilitation services.

His most recent experience was for 16 years as the CEO of Medmark Treatment Services and its successor Baymark Health Services. From 2008 – 2024 he developed an international opioid treatment company operating over 400 locations in 34 US states and three Canadian Provinces, treating over 75,000 patients each day for Opioid Use Disorder. Prior to that, he served as the COO of Horizon Health, a public company that worked with over 500 acute care hospitals to manage their psychiatric, substance use treatment, and physical rehabilitation services. Horizon also owned inpatient and residential treatment services, outpatient treatment services, and EAP services during his tenure. Prior to that Dr. White operated Charles River Hospital, a psychiatric hospital and related health system, and three family owned nursing homes.

Dr. White holds a BS in psychology from Tufts University and a Masters degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Vanderbilt University. He has been married for over 40 years to Michelle and is very proud of their three children and five grandchildren. In his spare time, he can share some great experiences from his general aviation hobby and his antique car collection.
